Still Not 100%

Still haven't been able to shake off this cold, which seems to be on the verge of becoming a chest infection. I only managed a few hours of work over the weekend, which explains the lack of photographs. I'll hopefully have something up later tonight or early tomorrow though, as I plan on trying to get at least six to eight hours of work in today.

In better news, it looks like the move down to Folkestone that we've been planning for the last four months is finally about to go ahead. We'll find out by the end of the week if we've been successful in terms of acquiring a house down there and if we are, we'll be moving in arund the 25th of January or so.

Obviously, I want to try and clear the decks before the move, so sick or not, I have a lot of work to do in the next two weeks.

  1. Good luck, lots of Vita C, some hot tea with lemon and whiskey...also slap a little Vicks rub on your chest at night to prevent the chest cold.

  2. Oftentimes, my wife's colds tend to develop into chest infections. It's not nice - you have our sympathy and best wishes.

    1. Yup. And to make matters worse, she just told me on Skype the other night that she's caught another cold herself. Great. Another one to look forward too. No doubt I'll shift this one just in time to move down south and catch this other one off her as well :D

  3. Best cold remedy I've come across is.....
whisky, sugar, hot water. and here's the important bit. Get a wedge of lemon and stud it with cloves. Drop into the hot water/whisky, and leave to infuse for a minute.
    Drink.

    1. I'll try that, thanks. Caroline has a wonderful recipe for this sort of thing as well, but I never seem to make it right.
