Chaos Dwarf Blood Bowl WIP Update

Well, despite feeling like I've been run over by a fair to mid-size family car (oh, all-right, by a wooden Triumph Herald at worst) I managed to get a few hours of work done today.  However, I'm still annoyed. My self-imposed deadline to finish the Chaos Dwarf BB  team (including basing and varnish) expired today. I'm damn proud of finishing a commission before or on the deadline 19 times out of every 20. But every time that one-in-twenty comes up I can't help but take it personally.  Can't be helped of course, not when I'm ill, but I hate letting my customers down.

These Blood Bowl hobgoblins are more or less finished, with just the fingernails, boils and base left to paint. The rest of the team aren't very far behind. The photograph isn't that great because I just took it about twenty minutes ago without the benefit of a light rig. It was only a WIP shot for the customer and not one I intended to post. But photographs of miniatures have been so sparse on here lately that I decided a photographs taken in bad light (while the final glaze on the skin was still drying) is still better than no photograph at all.

Blood Bowl Hobgoblin players. Work in Progress.

The rest of the team are only a few highlights behind these guys, with the exception of the Minotaur and Bull-Centaurs, who need a bit more work. I'm hoping my concentration (and the span between coughing) holds up long enough to get the rest of the team painted up to this stage by tomorrow. If I can do that, then I can varnish overnight and on Wednesday morning and hopefully catch the last post on Wednesday.

    1. Yup. Couple of layers of matt for Blood Bowl miniatures. You know how it is, they spend as much time lying face up or face down as they do standing up.
